thrilling and philosophical

This is a classic book in german speaking countries. It is often read at higher educational schools. I consider it very dramatical and thrilling. It alsou points to various interesting philosophical questions, which never lose actuality. It is not too long, but I consider the german edition rather difficult for people who are learning german as a foreign language.
